is the tutorial should be in the different repo than the sampled code ?

- Written tutorial on GitHub (max 4000 words): The written portion of the tutorial must include citations wherever necessary (e.g. code inspiration). Tutorials and provided code must be Open Source and hosted on a publicly accessible GitHub repository.

- Sampled Software on GitHub: A link to the publicly available Open Source software code that was used as a basis of the tutorial.

im confused about these two thing why we differentiate sampled software and tutorial? can't we just put it in the same repo?

Yes, you can put the sampled code and the tutorial in the same repo. We ask for the sample code separately to make sure everyone remembers to include it. In your submission, just be sure to add a link to the sample code directly and don't forget the Open Source License
